Antique French Style Chair 20″ x 21″ x 43″ Hand Carved

This antique french chair was hand carved a long, long time ago but remains a solid place to sit down. There is no damage and nothing is broken except for one small piece of wood is loose that attaches as an extension of the ornate leg attachment to the seat bottom.
You can see what I’m talking about in picture number three if you look just behind the front leg. It is not a structural piece and looks fine most of the time but every once in a while it gets pushed back a little and I pop it back into place.
If I were a perfectionist I’d glue it back into place, but instead I feel doing so would detract from its authentic feel. That’s all just in my head though, but it’s the way it is. The stiches holding the leather seat have mostly disintegrated and the leather itself is no longer strong enough for repairs.
I love this chair and would never think of selling it if I weren’t taking what was going to be a 7 month backpacking trip but now is indefinate.
