Fabulous Renaissance Revival Oak Breakfront
Circa: 1860
Dimensions: 103″H x 45″W x 20″D
Finish: Good polished original
Description: Fabulous Renaissance Revival oak breakfront. The top portion has an open carved crest with fruit and grapes on the sides (the right side has had some of the grapes recarved).
The entire case is decorated with raised burled panels and carved rosettes. There are three original adjustable shelves in the top section. This sits on an original white marble top with beveled edge and cut out corners. The base has a drawer and cupboard with a single shelf in the interior. We have a key to help open the door and cupboard but the locks don’t work.
Notice the shaped burled corners in the base. The sides are paneled on both the top and bottom. The tall yet narrow size of this piece is very desirable. It is very unusual to find a piece of this quality and period made of oak!
