Fine quality Victorian walnut Flat top desk. This piece features a fancy gallery with tiny shaped turned spindles (some have been replaced). All four corners of the top are carved. There is a writing slide that pulls out from both sides. We had a fabric surface put on both slides and the top of the desk. The desk has five drawers on the right side and four drawers - including one file size - on the left side.
The drawers have original unusual round wooden pulls. The center drawer has a cross support section with carving on both ends. The kneehole and sides of the desk have raised beveled panels. The back is also beautifully paneled and features two cupboard doors for extra storage. There are couple of small stains on the top of the desk. A good looking very functional Victorian desk!
