Description: Great Set of Eight Victorian Walnut Renaissance Revival Dining Chairs comprised of one host armchair and seven side chairs with modified shaped arms, all in fine original finish.
The slightly arched back has decorative rosettes and incised carvings with burl on the side stiles and a fancy open pierced carved center splat. There is more incising on the arms and under the curved seat there is more decoration with burl and a raised circular rosette.
The chairs have nicely turned legs with the original casters. These chairs are good size and solid. We had them newly reupholstered in a deep teal damask using the original horsehair. What a handsome, comfortable and very complete set of Victorian dining chairs!
