This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany breakfront library bookcase has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze and three arched glazed panels, the central panel being fixed. The two outer doors have glass knobs, key, working lock, turned corbels and the interior has three fixed shelves. The lower section has a breakfront moulded top above three shaped frieze drawers, a fixed central panel and two outer doors with raised arched panels.

The piece has beautiful turned columns, stands on shaped bracket feet, has original backboards, splits into two sections for ease of removals, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Items of this age and quality are becoming very rare to find and they are not just a beautiful piece of furniture but also a very good investment.
