Description: Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian credenza. It has a carved pediment on the top. The front of the cabinet is decorated with raised burled panels, incised carvings with original gilt incising, and a copper toned bronze plaque in the middle of the oval inset burled panel.
The interior of the cabinet has a shelf and is made of a lovely birdseye maple. The back is signed “A Ortlieb & Co, Manufacturers of Cabinet Furniture and Chairs, 51 Federal St, Allegany City, PA.” We have never before had a piece signed by this company.
