Rosewood Credenza with Porcelain Painting
Circa: 1870
Dimensions: 49″H x 45″W x 19″D
Finish: Excellent polished original
Description: Gorgeous rosewood Renaissance Revival Victorian credenza. The middle of the top portion features a hand painted convex porcelain of a reclining semi - nude woman with an original gilt border. The four panels on the base are profusely decorated with multi colored floral inlays.
There are carved fluted columns on each side of the case. The sides have recessed panels. This piece retains most of the original gilt and black high lights. We did some very minor touch up of some of the gilt. The interior of the cabinet has two shelves. The entire interior is made of figured satinwood. This is a very sharp looking piece of exceptional quality - undoubtedly NYC made!
