Rosewood Renaissance Revival Credenza
Circa: 1870
Dimensions: 65.5″H x 65.5″W x 22″D
Finish: Good original
Description: Fabulous rosewood Renaissance Revival Victorian credenza. The ornate top crest has burled panels, gilt incised carvings and fancy columns. There is a spring loaded secret drawer above a cabinet door in the base. The base has fluted columns, burled panels, incised carvings and extensive intricate marquetry.
The marquetry consists of faces, corn, flowers, musical instruments, etc - very striking and beautifully done! There are some old repairs to the rosewood veneer on the door. There is a birdseye maple shelf in the cabinet. This piece was made by one of the fine NYC shops. It is a work of quality and beauty!
