Sensational “Pillar” Walnut Table
Circa: 1874
Dimensions: 29.5″H x 63″W x 54″D
Finish: Polished and overcoated original finish
Description: Sensational walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian oval dining room table. The top is figured walnut and has a raised burled skirt with carved buttons. The massive split pedestal base features conical burled columns, burled round feet with convex caps, and detailed carvings on the center post.
The center leg has been replaced and is only exposed when the table is open. It comes with three large original 18.5″ leaves but extends to an incredible 192″ (matching new leaves could be made for it to extend that far if you desired).
The table has super quality solid chestnut runners and is signed “Pillar Table, Lenz’s Pat, 1874.” We have had signed “Pillar” tables before. They are always superior quality. This one is the best of the best!
