Set of six elegant walnut Victorian chairs
Circa: 1870
Dimensions: 49″H x 26″W (arms), 42.5H x 20.5″W (sides)
Finish: Excellent original
Description: Set of six elegant walnut Victorian chairs. These were originally parlor chairs but would make great quality dining room chairs. The suite consists of two arms and four sides.
Each piece has an elaborate open carved crest, incised carved frames and fluted tapered turned front legs. The supports for the armchairs are nicely carved. This suite was reupholstered by the previous owner. It was a very fine job with both the seats and backs diamond tufted. You will seldom find period Victorian dining room chairs of this quality!
Note: The four sidechairs seat height is about 18″ high which is suitable for dining chairs. The two armchairs are only 15″ high and would need additions put on the four legs which we could do for an additional fee, if needed.
