The Loveseat, Rocker and Arm Chair have a floral tapestry fabric with burgandy roses. The 2 Side Chairs are a solid Burgandy.
The Loveseat is 4′ long. Nice applied carving on all pieces. All pieces have the heads on each corner.
The fabric is all in excellent condition. The Platform rocker and the Arm Chair have a few pieces of the carving missing, but besides that, the set is in great condition. All pieces are good and sturdy.
We are offering a really beautiful and outstanding 5 piece parlor set for the person who is looking to find some truely quality antique pieces for their home. These pieces were professionally restored a few years ago back to period correct authenticity by us ( Butler’s Restorations ) for one of our customers. We currently have them for sale in our antique shop in Gardner, Kansas.
The set consists of 4 matching solid walnut chairs and a solid hard maple loveseat with walnut stain to match the chairs. The restoration included complete restorations from the frame up on each piece. All of the interior tack rails have been replaced back authentic and the pieces all have authentic red line webbing, 8 way tie on the springs, burlap, tow material for the double stuffing of the seats and cotton padding.
You will not find a more authentic quality restoration on antiques, than the way these have been done. The backs are hand tufted in the antique diamond pattern with each tufted channel fill with cotton, the original way.
The fabric is an authentic 100% cotton antique velvet from Duralee fabrics and is an antique burgundy color. It is a very tight weave and can be steamed and brushed if ever necessary. There are no loose joints, no breaks, no cracks etc.
These pieces are in excellent condition and show very little wear. Since they were done correctly and with high quality correct materials, they can be used and enjoyed for many years to come, unlike most of the furniture you see in antique shops that need ropes across them for fear of someone sitting in them.
