Victorian Mahogany Breakfront Triple Wardrobe ca 1870: Height 219cms/86inches Width 211cmsd/83inches Depth 69cms/27inches Ref No 01990.
This beautiful Victorian mahogany breakfront triple wardrobe has an unusual moulded cornice above a deep frieze and a large central mirrored door flanked by two moulded, panelled doors, the corners are canted.
The central interior has hanging hooks above a fixed shelf and five sliding linen trays. The right interior has hanging hooks, a later hanging rail, one fixed shelf and a sliding linen tray. The left interior has a hanging hook above a fixed shelf and a sliding linen tray (a modern hanging rail could be fitted, at no extra cost if required).
The piece stands on a plain breakfront plinth, has original backboards, splits into five sections plus doors for ease of removals, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
