I got this item not so much as a bed but as a house for my guinea pigs. They love it. They hide beneath it, hop on top of it and chew the heck out of it. Given I have five guineas to partake of the straw hovel, it hasn’t lasted very long, but it has surely given them a lot of pleasure and has kept tiny teeth from gnawing on things that should not be nibbled. Definitely a good investment!
