For the money I would have expected that it was made entirely of wood - the side panels are not - they are particle board and chip easily around the feet. Also - the dresser I ordered was slightly damaged - the bottom drawer liner was broken. It is no big deal since it is not seen but made me a little sad. It is a very nice looking piece though.
