Mattress, box spring, and bedding (comforter, sheets, pillows, etc.) are NOT included.
Each of the pieces are very large and heavy so make sure you have plenty of help moving them in and that you have a large room to put them in. Pretty much the only assembly is putting on the hardware, slipping the bed pieces together and attaching the mirror to the vanity.
The surface isnt as durable as I would have like though, we have a little chip by one of the legs and one scratch on the bed post from slipping our mattress on so when you get it just be very careful about letting anything rub against it. It still looks great and the construction is pretty sturdy.
