Shakila Hafeez, renowned interior and furniture designer feels great pleasure gifting quality furniture to her daughter as dowry. She considers her daughter’s wedding the best achievement of her life.
She started her construction business in 1993, which gave her an opportunity to enter in different business because after construction business she started selling furnished and decorated homes.
She learnt this art from many people by observing them but basically her mother is very creative and she taught her all the management skills. She is mostly inspired by the antiques and tries to design the antiques things in all her areas.
She also exhibits her items for charity because according to her “I did a lot for the worldly satisfaction but now I want to do something for the blessing of Allah”. She never ever cheated anyone whatever she does she definitely tells her customers and also wants that no one should cheat her and this is the reason that she is spending a very contented life.
She said women should do something other than the household chores because most of the women are very talented in the country so they should play their role in the budget of the houses as well as in the economy of the country. She started her business at a low level but now she is planning for opening 2 new outlets in Rawalpindi and Lahore and also advises the women to start their business from the low level so that they can get sufficient experience and also give more time to the things, which they create.
