Furniture making competition
THE New Forest Trust is once again running a national competition for people training to become quality furniture makers.
This competition will give trainee wood craftsmen the opportunity to make a name for themselves, as the Furniture first prize, kindly donated by international company INEOS, is for ï¿¡1,000.
Two other awards are also being offered this year, with runners up taking ï¿¡400 and ï¿¡200 respectively.
The competition will be judged by three internationally known judges Roy Tam, Paul Gower and George Morgan.
It will be held at The New Forest & Hampshire County Show held in the Furniture centre of the Forest, at New Park, Brockenhurst on Tuesday July 29 to Thursday July 31.
Two awards will be decided solely by the visiting public, one for the children’s choice and one for the adults.
