Ligo Enters Youth Furniture Category
Ligo Products, best known as a casual dining and
bedroom resource, made its debut in youth furniture at last month’s High Point market. The company teamed with Maine designer Allison Eremita to develop five new groups, each of which has three to four beds aimed at toddlers, tweens and teens.
“It’s exciting to be working with someone who is developing a youth program from scratch,” said Eremita, a former sales representative for Riverside.
Dan Angus, Ligo senior vice president of sales and marketing, said that while the company’s casual dining business is holding up well during the industry-wide sales slump, he believes it is important to diversify its product offerings.
“This is a category that seems to be more resistant to downturns,” Angus said.
