I love this table. It’s beautiful and spacious and coupled with the hutch, looks professional. I, however, have two complaints. First of all, Target shipped UPS who put a hammer head sized dent on the top of the table. I think this partially stems from the inadequate packaging. The second gripe has to to do with the construction. When the table arrived, a hinge associated with the drawer was bent inward and because of this the drawer did not close properly. This hinge appeared to have been bent at the factory. The table took all of 15 minutes to put together and 45 minutes to hammer out the bent hinge.
Dolce Dark Walnut Desk Review: I wanted something similar to a writing desk but with a pull-out keyboard tray. This desk was the perfect fit for me. The color matches the other furniture well and is more of a dark-cherry than walnut. The magnets on the pull-out tray were weak and didn’t hold. A quick replacement was all it needed. The desk is sturdy and has plenty of room for my laptop and small printer. There’s also space for some books. Absolutely love this desk. I had been on the fence about buying it for several weeks and finally went ahead and did it. I absolutely recommend it. I’m very happy about it, plus it wasn’t all that expensive either.

Dolce Dark Walnut Desk Review: I’ve owned this desk for 2 years- and use it constantly. I understand the mixed reviews it’s been getting. On the one hand it looked really good when I got it, fit the space,is a nice design and the right size. On the other hand, I also have had problems with the magnetic catch and the front shelf opening. Mostly, though, the finish has not lasted at all it has worn away and the wood underneath is showing through on the front edge.
The desk top is scratched and this really shows because the finish is very thin and the wood underneath is very light. On the other hand, I am thinking of ordering another one because it’s so reasonable and it’s almost as cheap as trying to refinish this one. I too don’t find Target easy to work with and I am concerned about getting damaged merchandise as so many reviewers have reported. I’m still looking for other alternatives.
Dolce Dark Walnut Desk Review: I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect desk. I looked in stores and online. I came across this desk on Amazon and based on other customer reviews I decided to buy it. It is absolutely perfect for me. I use this as a reading desk, not for my computer, but it is large and the quality is excellent. I was able to put it together by myself in under 30 minutes. Definitely worth the money.
Dolce Dark Walnut Desk Review: Talk about a no-brainer. This desk is simple, stylish and exceedingly easy to put together. Just screw the legs in; the rest is one big piece. The color is closer to dark cherry or mahogany, which was just what I needed to complement the pieces in my bedroom.
