These contemporary and sophisticated Organic Hemp Tierra Moderno chairs are handcrafted one at a time by Bean’s expert craftsmen with decades of experience making individual and unique designer quality furniture. The frames are made with quality sustainably grown hardwoods from well managed American forests which are FSC certified(Forest Stewardship Council).
Steel screws and fasteners as well as non-toxic natural based glues are used to manufacture these well made furniture pieces. Cushioning is made from 100% natural latex foam rubber which provides superior comfort, support, long life and is the least toxic of any cushioning material. The natural latex foam rubber is an environmentally friendly renewable resource which can be safely biodegraded.
Actually the sap collected from the “Hevea Brasilienses” and will outlast all toxic synthetic petroleum based urethane foams, often 20 years or more at which time the cushions and batting can the be safely biodegraded in a landfill.
We use a natural hemp or jute covering for our steel base springs and tight back springs, then a sturdy layer of 100% natural latex foam rubber, several layers of pure organic cotton and wool batting for cushioning and then secure everything with a barrier wrap of organic cotton sheeting.
Finally the piece is tightly upholstered with our special Hemp fabrics, Eco-option designer fabrics or customer provided fabric.
