Review: The bench was very easy for my husband to put together. The packaging did arrive beat up, but all the parts were intact and nothing was missing. The color is lighter than shown on the screen, but it’s a lovely warm shade. Also, it’s not entirely hardwood. The bottom of the storage chest is particle board, along with the pieces between the slats on the front, back and sides.
Everything else is a solid hardwood, not sure what variety. The bottom piece does not fit tightly ok for big items like shoes and such but not so great for tiny items. We bought this to hold wood pellets for our pellet stove and my husband will have to custom fit a plywood bottom. Not a huge deal but not something we were expecting to have to do either. All in all, a great piece of furniture for the price.
Split Seat Wood Storage Bench Review: The bench arrived quickly and was as described. It took about 30 minutes to put together. I had read some reviews that the bench arrived missing pieces or damaged, but we did not have any problems. One of the doors on the top seems to rub slightly against the side rail when it is first opened, but it hasn’t caused any real problems or wear. The bench doors have hinges that hold them open once they are raised. Overall, I think this is a great product for the price and would recommend it.

Split Seat Wood Storage Bench Review: The bench arrived with the packaging torn. All the parts were there however the stain on the arm piece was scratched and the side panel fell off. One of the wooden pegs was also broken. We were still able to put the bench together with out any problems and it looks great for the price. Keep in mind that the stain is a shade lighter than pictured.
Split Seat Wood Storage Bench Review: This bench is really well made and went together very easy. The finish was well done. Even more important was the customer service department for the manufacturer. One side piece was damaged in shipping but with the extent of damage to the shipping box I was amazed only one part was damaged. I called customer service and they immediately sent the replacement part with no questions and absolutely no hassle. What a joy to work with a company that understands excellent customer service.
Split Seat Wood Storage Bench Review: Price is great for the bench. Packaging is not the best, but I did receive with no damage. Needed two people to put together. Have not found anything that looks as nice for the same price. Love the split bench seat.
