Handsomely designed and built to last, this Strathwood resin wicker bar set offers classic style to weather ever-changing trends and reliable craftsmanship to stay pristine in outdoor conditions. This set comes with two low-backed bar stools and a glass-topped bar. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the mocha-hued Camano outdoor furniture line, which includes a sectional sofa and chaise lounge.
The bar has an inward curved center for the bartender, and features a strong steel frame, wicker sides, two levels of metal mesh shelving, and an elegant glass tabletop with golden, smoked finish. It measures 59 by 27-1/2 by 38 inches (LxDxH). The two barstools have a mocha-hued wicker seat with a curved lip at the front and a curved low back. They have a 15-1/2-inch width and 29-inch seating height.
The tightly woven wicker strands are made from durable polyethylene (PE) resin, which is designed to withstand fading, weathering, and aging within a temperature range of -70C (-94F) to 80C (176F) degrees. The washable wicker strands have a powder-coated finish with a modest sheen that easily sheds drizzle and accidental drips, and its looks will remain unchanged for three years under normal usage. The stools have a weight capacity of 150 pounds, while the table has a 150-pound weight capacity. Assembly is easy, with all parts, rust-resistant hardware, and necessary tools included.
The term “wicker” doesn’t refer to a particular material, but a style of construction that weaves together stiff strands of fibers such as rattan, willow, and bamboo. Woven furniture has been around since ancient Egypt, but wicker is believed to have been given its name in Scandinavia–with wika meaning to bend and vikker meaning willow in Swedish. Wicker was first popularized in America in the 1850s, and was used extensively in the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th century.
