Cebu furniture makers consider South Africa as export market
APART from tapping upscale market segments in Europe, Russia and the Middle East, furniture exporters in Cebu are also considering venturing into the South African market.

Ashley Furniture closing southern Indiana location
Ashley Furniture licensee KHF Holdings LLC will close its Clarksville, Ind., store one year after opening it.
The lease expired on the location, 305 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway, KHF president Mike McCord said in a news release.
He added that KHF plans to build a full-scale store in southern Indiana in the future.

Furniture Hall of Fame Foundations Names New Officers
Donald Belgrad, president of Schnadig Corp., has been elected president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation Inc. for 2008-2009.
Other officers include: Donald C. Marks, first vice president, Badcock Home Furniture & more; Alex Bernhardt Jr., second vice president, Bernhardt Furniture Company; and Donald D. Dreher, secretary-treasurer, DMI Furniture Inc.
