Furniture firm stops work at Norwalk plant
Norwalk Furniture Corp., the city’s largest manufacturer and its second-biggest employer, suspended operations at its local facility yesterday, idling more than 500 workers.

Dates for furniture market change again
The dates for the High Point furniture market are changing again.
Beginning in April 2009, the semiannual trade show will begin on Saturday and end on Thursday.
The board of directors for the High Point Market Authority approved the change today. The previous market week, which remains in place for the October show, was Monday through Sunday.
